Name: Courtney Miller
License Number: 8972
Specialty: trigger point, myofascial, acupressure (incorporated into Integrative Massage)
Email: courtney@hohasheville.com
Available: Sundays 11:00 - 5:00; Fridays 2:30 - 8:00
Bio: Courtney has long been interested in the connection between the body and the mind. She obtained a psychology degree in 2004, during which time she also studied body-centered meditation and yoga. After completing a yoga teacher-training course in 2007, she decided to enroll in massage school to pursue hands-on work. Her focus is alignment-based bodywork – aligning the physical body through therapeutic massage techniques (e.g. trigger point, myofascial, acupressure) and aligning the mind by emphasizing relaxation, stress and pain reduction, and additional modalities. The same impulse lying behind her interest in psychology is at the root of her bodywork practice – the desire to help people feel better in both their bodies and their minds.
